The St. Paul's Boys Varsity Squash team embarked on a memorable journey during the recent season, marked by exhilarating victories, tough competition, and moments of sheer determination. With an overall record of 7-5, including a commendable conference record of 7-2, the season was a testament to the team's skill and dedication.

The season kicked off with a resounding statement as St. Paul's dominated their opening matches. A commanding 7-0 win against Brooks School set the tone for what would be a series of impressive performances. Victories against Tabor Academy, Phillips Exeter, Milton Academy, and Groton School followed suit, showcasing the team's prowess on the court.

However, the journey was not without its challenges. Despite their early successes, St. Paul's faced formidable opponents in Deerfield Academy and Phillips Academy Andover with players dealing with injuries, resulting in narrow defeats. These matches served as valuable learning experiences, highlighting areas for improvement and reinforcing the team's resolve.

One of the season's highlights came in a closely contested match against Choate Rosemary Hall, where St. Paul's emerged victorious with a narrow 4-3 win. This hard-fought battle epitomized the team's resilience and teamwork, showcasing their ability to perform under pressure.

As the season progressed, St. Paul's continued to demonstrate their competitive spirit, securing crucial victories against Belmont Hill School and other formidable rivals. Their dominance within the conference was evident, boasting an impressive conference win percentage of .778.

However, the team faced its toughest challenges yet in the New England Championships and the US High School Nationals. St. Paul's qualified for Class A New England Tournament for teams ranked in the top 8 in New England.  The team also qualified for Division 1 at the US High School Team Championships for the top 16 ranked teams in the country. 

In reflection, the St. Paul's Boys Varsity Squash team's season was characterized by a mixture of triumphs and challenges that the team worked through.Their unwavering determination and sportsmanship never faltered--being awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the League voted on by our opposing coaches.  As they look towards the future, the team remains poised to build upon their successes, driven by a shared passion for the sport and a commitment to continuous improvement. With their collective talent and dedication, the future looks bright for St. Paul's Squash.
