St. Paul's continued their Spring Training on Saturday and were triumphant over Indian Hills 5-3 in Orlando.
St. Paul's got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after
Charlotte Voge doubled, and Dakota Martinez singled, each scoring one run.
Heather Cotter led things off in the circle for St. Paul's. They gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking two. #12 led things off in the circle for Indian Hills. They allowed seven hits and five runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Samantha Lynch appeared in relief for St. Paul's.
Martinez provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led St. Paul's with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-3 on the day.
Isabella Martinez, Martinez, and Voge each collected two hits for St. Paul's. Martinez stole two bases. St. Paul's turned one double play in the game.
#8 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Indian Hills in hits. #11 and #8 each drove in one run for Indian Hills. #22 paced Indian Hills with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying four walks for the game. Indian Hills turned one double play in the game.
