St. Paul's easily dispatched Tilton School on Wednesday, 11-0.
St. Paul's got on the board in the top of the first inning after
Daniel Sullivan hit a sacrifice fly,
Luke Newhall singled, and Theo Schneible doubled, each scoring one run.
St. Paul's added one run in the second after
Eoin Sheehy hit a sacrifice fly.
A fielder's choice by Will Ekstrand, a double by
Carter Corbett, and a single by Sheehy helped St. Paul's extend their early lead in the third.
Corbett earned the win for St. Paul's. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. David Foley took the loss for Tilton School. They went three innings, giving up eight runs on 11 hits, striking out two and walking two.
St. Paul's collected 14 hits in the game. Newhall,
Connor Pollard, Sheehy, Schneible, Corbett, and
Quinn Brandell each collected two hits for St. Paul's. Corbett led St. Paul's with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. St. Paul's ran wild on the base paths, tallying three stolen bases for the game. St. Paul's were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Pollard had the most chances in the field with five.
Danny Stovella led Tilton School with one hit in two at bats.
St. Paul's will travel to Proctor Academy for their next game on Friday.
