On Wednesday we took on the Wildcats from Kimball Union Academy (KUA). The teams were well matched with few subs on both benches. The Big Red went up by a goal 20 minutes into the half when a ball was loose in front of the net and newcomer Angie Bonzel '28 lined up with the ball and sent it home. Our lead remained for the remainder of the half. Both teams came out with vigor after halftime. KUA pressing hard, was able to score with a well struck shot that caught our goalie out of position. It looked as if the clock was going to run out and leave us with a tie; however, Allegra Caracappa '27 hit a bomb from 30 yards out that the goalie never saw coming. Great work team! Catch us this Saturday when the Big Red tries to stop the Big Green of Deerfield Academy undefeated season.
