The St. Paul's Boys JV Hockey team wrapped up a season filled with grit, growth, and moments of brilliance, finishing with a
record of 5 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties. Throughout the season, the team showed resilience and a strong competitive spirit in the ever-challenging Lakes Region and beyond.
Highlights & Key Games
- The season kicked off on Dec. 7 with a hard-fought 0–0 tie on the road against Kimball Union Academy, setting the tone for a season full of tight contests.
- Just days later, the offense came alive in a wild 8–6 victory over Brooks School, showcasing the team's scoring depth and ability to respond under pressure.
- In another close battle, the team skated to a 1–1 tie against Tilton on Dec. 13, followed by a tough matchup against a strong Exeter squad, falling 2–8.
- After the winter break, the team bounced back with a dominant week in mid-January, recording back-to-back wins against Holderness (7–2) and Proctor Academy (7–3) in front of the home crowd at Ingalls Rink.
- Another big win came on Jan. 29, when the team traveled to Proctor Academy and came away with a solid 5–3 victory, sweeping the season series.
- A clutch 4–3 win against Concord High on Feb. 8 added to the season's list of highlights, fueled by strong teamwork and late-game focus.
Tough Battles & Close Calls
- The team dropped a close one to Andover on the road, 3–4, and later came up just short in a rematch against Tilton, 2–3, showing how tightly matched many of their games were.
- Other challenging matchups included losses to Dexter Southfield (3–5), Thayer Academy (2–5), and a hard-fought finale stretch against top-tier teams Andover and New Hampton.
Despite some tough results, the team maintained a fighting edge throughout the season, often staying competitive in games against some of the region's strongest programs.
