Runs Hard To Come By In St. Paul's Win Versus Phillips Exeter Academy

Both teams were strong in the circle on Wednesday, but St. Paul's defeated Phillips Exeter Academy 3-0. Jelina Medina started the game for St. Paul's and recorded 12 outs.

St. Paul's opened the scoring in the first after Heather Cotter singled, scoring one run.

Dakota Martinez homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth for the St. Paul's.

Medina earned the win for St. Paul's. The pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. Tran took the loss for Phillips Exeter Academy. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking four. Cotter pitched three innings of no-run ball for St. Paul's in relief. Martinez drove the middle of the lineup, leading St. Paul's with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
