Athletic Career:

After racing Nordic in high school, and continuing to ski throughout college, I took a break from racing until my late 20s when I decided to again throw on a bib to enter an occasional 10k or marathon ski event.  I also picked up biathlon in my early 30s and have been racing, in my age group, at the national level for over 10 years with an occasional international competition.  Over the years, I have earned multiple age-group national titles in biathlon, and continue to be an active competitor in the sport.

Coaching Philosophy:

All athletes are capable of realizing a high potential in many ways.  We seek to develop technical and athletic proficiency as well as enjoyment of the sport.  Athletes should expect to work hard to become better and more proficient skiers.  Dedicated effort will result in improved ability.  Though race results are often scored individually, never forget that you are a part of a team.  Your positive contributions to the team are valued and respected by your peers, coaches, parents, and the greater community.
