SPS Girls Ice Hockey Win New England Championship

St. Paul's Captures First-Ever NEPSAC Division 1 Girls Hockey Title

St. Paul's School achieved a historic milestone by claiming its first-ever New England championship in the NEPSAC Division 1 Girls Hockey Tournament. The team delivered an electrifying performance, defeating No. 3 Nobles (2-0) and No. 2 Williston Northampton (1-0) in hard-fought matchups before decisively besting No. 5 Pomfret 6-2 in the final.

The victory was anchored by the standout play of goalie Kerri St. Denis '15, who posted an incredible .970 save percentage throughout the tournament, stifling opponents and giving her team the edge in each game. Bridget Carey '15 was a dominant offensive force, capping off the championship run with a spectacular hat trick in the final.

The team's success was built on a deep pool of talent. Carey led the season with 10 goals, 19 assists, and six game-winning goals. Sisters Gillis Frechette '18 (14g, 16a) and Finley Frechette '17 (15g, 14a) were offensive powerhouses, while Miriam Eickhoff '15 (10g, 15a) and Isabel Stoddard '17 (7g, 16a) contributed significantly to the scoring efforts. On the defensive side, Jenna Rheault '15 was an imposing presence, providing stability and leadership that proved critical to the team's success.
