On Saturday of Family Weekend GXC hosted Exeter, Winsor, and Hoosac for the family weekend race. The weather was warm, but the girls were excited to race on the home course for the first time this season. In the varsity race the Big Red fell to Exeter, but pulled off a victory against Winsor and Hoosac. Aedyn Kourakos managed a PR and a win at the line, leading all runners in the varsity race. She was followed closely behind by Brooks Boyd, Mack Barrette, Olivia Blanchard, Bela Friedman, Milly Kirkman and Patalie Viprakasit. The JV race saw a perfect score from Exeter, but SPS hung tough throughout the race. Ali Cabot led the JV racers and was followed closely by Clara Tcherepnin, Sophia Zhang, and MJ Williams-Bello. Maren Comey, Maddie Morse and Lily Campbell rounded out the top finishers in the JV race.
