In their first match of the 2024-2025 season, the St. Paul's School Varsity Girls Squash team traveled to Brooks to earn a strong first win of the season. The Big Red won the top six matches of the ladder 3-0, with strong showings by new members of the team as well as veteran returners. Returners Calla Yim, Mary Chu, Daisy Wu, and Ruby Sandoval got out ahead to quick leads and never looked back with convincing wins at the 1- 4 spots of the ladder. In their first career varsity matches, Emery Gay and Melody Zhang showed no signs of nerves and brought home wins. The SPS girls now focus on training and preparing for their remaining matches when they return to campus in January, starting with a home match against Hotchkiss on Saturday, January 11.
