The Big Red fell to New Hampton on Friday evening at home. Both teams came out to battle in the first, and the period ended 0-0. The teams continued to work through the second period, and Liza Demain scored her first goal in the second. Seniors Maude Niemann and Charlie Voge tallied assists. New Hampton responded almost immediately, and the second period ended 1-1. New Hampton struck first in the third period and went up 3-1. SPS kept battling and Caroline Humber scored in the middle of the third period. Maddy Allen had the assist on a shot pass off the far pad. The Big Red couldn't come back, however, and the game ended 4-2 for New Hampton.
