Powerful Pitching By Heather Cotter Not Enough As St. Paul's Lose To Phillips Academy

Heather Cotter struck out 12 batters, but St. Paul's fell to Phillips Academy 1-0 on Wednesday. Cotter allowed two hits and zero runs over seven and two-thirds innings while walking one.

Both teams were strong in the circle. Phillips Academy pitchers struck out 11, while St. Paul's sat down 12.

A Schuman earned the win for Phillips Academy. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out 11 and walking none.

Morgan Barbossa and Charlotte Voge each collected one hit for St. Paul's.

E Wood, Phillips Academy's number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats.

St. Paul's will travel back to Andover to play a neutral site game vs. Choate for their next game on Saturday.
