On a sunny, but windy spring day, SPS took on Austin Prep at home. In a full team effort that saw goals from 9 different players, SPS won 15-3. Goalie EJ Johnson '25 "pitched a no-hitter" in the first half, giving up no goals, and earning the shutout. 7 different Big Red players scored 8 goals in the first half to take a commanding 8-0 lead into halftime. Sam Moyer ' 24 won the ball on a well-executed ride to start the scoring. Then Hadley Cepiel '24, Amelia Shair '25, Gretta White '25, Meg Bohan '25, Eliza Ekstrand '24, and Ali Cabot '25 each scored goals of their own with Sam Moyer notching a second to bring the score to 8-0. 
 
Freshman Chandler Curtis '27 scored her first goal of the season - a left-handed goal off a challenge - to kick off the second-half scoring. Meg Bohan scored again off a fast break from the draw, just 10 seconds later. Towards the end of the third quarter, Eliza Ekstrand '24 forced a turnover from the Austin Prep goalie. In the ensuing play, Sam Moyer received a free position shot and buried the ball in the back of the net. Just over three minutes later, coming out of a well-used timeout, Sam Moyer scored again - her fourth of the game and her season high - with 5.5 seconds left in the third quarter. SPS scored 3 more goals in the final quarter. One from Parker Hansen '25 on an assist from Gretta White '24 and two by Hadley Cepiel '24 on a free position and off a pass from fellow captain Sam Moyer. The Big Red defense solidly defended their home field and held Austin Prep to only 3 goals. SPS won 15-3.
