St. Paul's continued their undefeated season with a 3-1 win over Deerfield on Saturday, October 4. Big Red was able to put two on the scoreboard before the first quarter ended to secure their lead early on. Maisie Hayne scored both, the first with an assist from Louisa Gosk and the second with a beautiful assist from Emery Gay on a corner with only a minute left to go in the quarter. Char Ward stewarded the team on defense as a strong center back while Mano Nagasaki, Daisy Singer, Marina Saravi, and Claire Lee all performed equally well in their respective midfield and forward positions. While St. Paul's let up one goal off a corner in the second half, the team responded with a final goal with only two minutes remaining in the game off of another beautiful assist from Emery Gay and a finish by Emma Burke. SPS takes on Holderness on 10/8.
