The Big Red fell to New Hampton in a gritty game on Wednesday, February 12. New Hampton came out hard, and scored the first goal of the game in the first period. SPS regrouped, but New Hampton still had momentum going into the second. After being down 0-2, SPS responded. Cadence Crowley netted the puck in the second from passes by Tess Mulkerron and Morgan Barbossa. The Big Red kept rolling, and Erin Flaherty tied the game in the second period. The game was 2-2 going into the third. Tess Mulkerron scored a beaitful unassisted goal to make the game 3-2 for SPS. New Hampton did not quit, and they scored two goals late in the game. The game ended 4-3 for New Hampton.
