The St. Paul's Girls Lacrosse season opened the 2025 season with an 18-3 win over Thayer Academy. The Big Red was led by its powerful 13-person senior class, and everyone came out flying in snowy conditions from start to finish. Goaltenders
Elizabeth Johnson and
Arabella Perry were both stellar in net making key saves for the Big Red. The starting defensive unit of
Ava Detweiler,
Isabel Hunt,
Addison Pinard, and
Alexandra Wang pressured Thayer's offense the entire game and helped to generate the Big Red's offense. The starting mid-field unit of
Meg Bohan,
Alexandra Cabot, and
Gretta White were fantastic off the draw circle all game, and each were rewarded with key goals. The starting attack unit of
Thayer Demers,
Katherine Hanson,
Saylor Pachios, and
Amelia Shair were poised with the ball, got key ground balls, and were able to score big goals to help the Big Red secure the win. Every member on the Big Red roster helped to secure the first win of the 2025 season. The Big Red look forward to playing Deerfield Academy at home on Wednesday (April 2) at 3:45pm.
