Big Red Overpower Deerfield in Offensive Showcase
St. Paul's Girls Varsity Lacrosse delivered a commanding performance against Deerfield Academy, dominating both ends of the field en route to a 15-7 victory. Led by senior
Meg Bohan, who exploded for 4 goals and 5 assists, The Big Red asserted their offensive prowess from the opening whistle.
Bohan's nine-point outburst was supported by strong showings from
Gretta White (3 goals), Ali Cabot (2 goals),
Amelia Shair (2 goals), and
Thayer Demers (2 goals, 1 assist). The team fired off 37 shots, with 31 on target, converting at an impressive 40.5% shooting rate.
St. Paul's also controlled possession, winning 61.5% of their draw controls, thanks in part to contributions from Demers, White, and Hanson, who collectively won key draws throughout the game.
Gretta White added to her stat line with 6 draw controls, while Alexa Wang made a defensive impact with 3 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.
On the defensive end, the defense was disruptive, tallying 12 caused turnovers and holding Deerfield to limited transition opportunities.
With this strong performance, St. Paul's continues to show depth, poise, and offensive diversity — a promising sign as they head deeper into the season.
This victory marks the second consecutive win for the Big Red, following their season-opening triumph against Thayer Academy on March 30 and the team looks to remain hot going into the showdown with Exeter on April 5.
