St. Paul's School put together a strong two-game stretch this week, earning a pair of wins behind timely hitting and dominant pitching performances.
On Wednesday, the Big Red secured a 7–4 walk-off victory over Brooks School in a game that showcased both resilience and clutch execution. After falling behind mid-game, St. Paul's rallied in the bottom of the seventh, scoring five runs on four hits. The decisive moment came when
Jelina Medina launched a three-run home run to center field to seal the comeback. Medina had an outstanding all-around performance, driving in four runs while also earning the win in the circle with 11 strikeouts over 5? innings. Contributions throughout the lineup, including multi-hit efforts from Medina,
Adriana Torres,
Violet Eaton, and
Jade Hill, helped keep the team within striking distance before the late surge.
The momentum carried into Friday's 5–3 win over Tilton School, where offensive production was more evenly distributed across the lineup.
Jillian Fugere led the way with two home runs, including a three-run shot in the fifth inning, finishing with four RBIs. St. Paul's totaled 14 hits in the game, with strong performances from the bottom of the order; Dot Ricard,
Eloise Ekstrand, and
Violet Eaton combined for seven hits. Eaton paced the team with a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate. In the circle,
Lucy Kaiser earned the win with three hitless innings, while Medina provided solid relief, striking out eight over four innings.
Across both games, St. Paul's combined offensive depth with standout individual performances, using late-inning execution and consistent pitching to extend their success heading into the upcoming Senior Day matchup against Kimball Union Academy on Friday.
