On Saturday, the top 14 runners for the girls cross country team raced at the historic Manchester Invitational. The JV girls raced first and were led by freshman Margaux Wasson who finished in the top 20 in her first race for the Big Red! She was trailed closely by teammate MJ Williams-Bello who was racing at Derryfield Park for the third time in her SPS career.

The varsity squad raced afterwards and found some impressive competition against both regional public schools and NEPSAC competitors. The varsity team was led by freshman Knowles Johnson, who finished 12th overall in her first race for the Pelicans! Knowles was followed by sophomore C.C. Goss, senior Brooks Boyd, sophomore Lu Rodriguez (in her varsity debut), and freshman Honey Brown, who rounded out the top five. The girls turn their attention to their two races this week--Holderness on Wednesday and the NMH Invitational on Saturday.
