Our Program

The St. Paul's School tennis program plays in the Lakes Region conference with non-conference matches against several top NEPSAC Class A schools such as Exeter, Andover and Choate. Our student-athletes are exposed to all types of players throughout the season and become tougher competitors as a result.

While players often participate in other activities in the Fall and Winter Terms, some compete in tournaments, hit with teammates and use our fitness center to continue their development.

The SPS tennis program has access to 12 outdoor hard courts and 3 exceptional indoor hard courts.

If you are interested in playing tennis at St. Paul's School, please fill out our questionnaire.

SPS alumni have gone on to play collegiate tennis at Emory, Bowdoin, Amherst and others. The level of tennis in the NEPSAC is high, capable of producing exceptional and well-rounded tennis players.

Coaching

Head Coach David Taylor is a certified "Elite Professional" of the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA) and has taught tennis at a number of clubs full-time and seasonally for more than 20 years. Prior to joining SPS in 2006, Coach Taylor played Division I collegiate tennis for the University of New Hampshire and currently plays USTA 4.5 Team Tennis.

Become Big Red. The color will suit you.

Sportsmanship, respect and kindness are at the core of our coaching and playing, whether at the club, junior varsity or varsity team level. On the field, court and ice, students step into leadership roles, taking as their role models the coaches who also serve as their classroom teachers and house advisers. Our 95,000-square-foot Athletic and Fitness Center serves the entire St. Paul's community, helping all students prioritize their physical well being — no matter their athletic interests or skill level.
