Our Program

Golf at St. Paul's School dates back to a nine-hole course on the grounds in the late 1800s that preceded the construction of our observatory. Throughout the decades, golf has remained a passion for students and faculty members alike, and with the debut of varsity golf in 2025, the entire Big Red community is ready to continue the SPS tradition of athletic success and good sportsmanship on the links.

We are excited to partner with the Concord Country Club to serve as our home course for both daily practices and home matches. Concord Country Club is home to an 18-hole championship course, a full driving range, a putting green, and a newly built short-game practice area, all within a short drive of campus. On campus, we have a state-of-the-art Trackman Golf Simulator for our athletes to use in the off-season. Additionally, we have a first-class cardio and weight-lifting facility on campus, with a strength and conditioning coach available to provide personalized programs and oversee our team workouts.

Coaching

Head Coach Scott Harff '09 is an avid golfer who played casually growing up and picked up the game more seriously after college. He now makes it a priority to play in as many New Hampshire Golf Association events as he can each summer. He is also the boys varsity ice hockey head coach, and as a lifelong learner, he loves coaching and working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Coach Harff is excited to help the next wave of SPS golfers hone their skills and love for the game.

Become Big Red. The color will suit you.

Sportsmanship, respect and kindness are at the core of our coaching and playing, whether at the club, junior varsity or varsity team level. On the field, court and ice, students step into leadership roles, taking as their role models the coaches who also serve as their classroom teachers and house advisers. Our 95,000-square-foot Athletic and Fitness Center serves the entire St. Paul's community, helping all students prioritize their physical well being — no matter their athletic interests or skill level.
