Our Program

The St. Paul's School track and field team competes against Lakes Region schools in New Hampshire as well as other excellent prep schools across New England. The team welcomes athletes of all experience levels, and our coaches focus on individual athlete development as well as team success. We have an outstanding track and field venue with an all-weather eight-lane track and superb field event areas, along with top-notch athletic facilities for strength and conditioning.

The program aims to foster an inclusive, coeducational environment where scholar-athletes can thrive both on and off the track. The coaching staff and team captains are committed to providing a safe, supportive and enjoyable atmosphere for all students to experience the diverse opportunities of track and field, a sport with 17 different events. Every student, regardless of experience or skill level, has the chance to participate and contribute to the team's success.

Our comprehensive training program is designed to develop athletes progressively throughout the season. Emphasizing proper running mechanics, sprint drills, dynamic stretching, event-specific technique and yoga, the program prioritizes injury prevention, holistic athlete development and an appreciation for track and field.

By instilling values of hard work, dedication, determination and perseverance, we encourage our athletes to excel both academically and athletically. Our team spirit is built on mutual respect and camaraderie, creating core memories and lasting friendships.

Sportsmanship, respect and kindness are at the core of our coaching and playing, whether at the club, junior varsity or varsity team level. On the field, court and ice, students step into leadership roles, taking as their role models the coaches who also serve as their classroom teachers and house advisers. Our 95,000-square-foot Athletic and Fitness Center serves the entire St. Paul's community, helping all students prioritize their physical well being — no matter their athletic interests or skill level.
