St. Paul's traveled to Thayer on Saturday and met a hot-shooting Thayer team that never let the Big Red into the game. At the beginning of the game, the score went back and forth, but Thayer caught fire early, building a lead as large as 17. St. Paul's made a comeback to cut the lead to 10 at halftime, 37-27. In the second period, SPS cut the Thayer lead to 4 twice thanks to staunch defense and aggressive offensive rebounding. In the end, Thayer pulled away thanks to making thirteen total three-pointers—and earned a double-digit win.
