Saturday's matchup with Milton brought an electric victory home for the Big Red on Senior Day. The game was back and forth in the early going, with SPS mounting a 15-8 lead at the 9-minute mark after a beautiful assist from
Mekhi Simmons to
Treyvon Miller for a layup. Milton quickly fought back, though, ultimately building a 27-24 lead of their own. Thanks to a clutch three-pointer by
Liam Henaghen as the first half expired, the score was knotted at 33-33 going into half. In the first 9 minutes of the second half, there were 8 lead changes. After this point, St. Paul's was able to take over the game and put away the Mustangs. In those final 7 minutes of the contest, SPS was buoyed by Trey Miller's interior finishing, Pat Ricca's three-point shooting, and a breakaway dunk by
Mekhi Simmons—a perfect finish for Senior Day. In the win, Trey Miller ended with 18 points and 7 rebounds,
Quintin Eason finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds,
Mekhi Simmons added 13 points and 5 assists, and
Patrick Ricca and
Liam Henaghen both scored 10.
