St. Paul's lost the first game of the Class A Winter Showcase to a tough, talented Choate team. In the first half, Choate built an 18-8 lead at the midway point, but St. Paul's fought back feverishly in the closing minutes of the half. Thanks to three-pointers from Teigan Pelletier, Justin Huang, and Patrick Ricca, St. Paul's went into the half up 28-25. The Big Red could not maintain their hot shooting in the second half. Despite good defense from St. Paul's and consistent offensive rebounding, SPS could just not make enough shots down the stretch to hang on. In the loss, Teigan Pelletier had 17 points along with 10 rebounds, and Justin Huang added 11 points.
