In St. Paul's final game before the winter break, the Big Red came out hungry—playing extremely hard against an always-impressive Choate program. The game was back and forth in the early going, with Choate taking a temporary lead at 14-12. But, in the final 8:39 of the first half, St. Paul's recorded a remarkable defensive effort—and did not allow Choate to score a single point. SPS thus closed the half on a 18-0 run, going into the intermission at 30-14. In the second half, the scrappy and talented Wild Boars of Choate fought to cut the lead to 8, but it never got any closer as SPS earned the double-digit victory. In the win,
Mekhi Simmons finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds, Trey Miller added 15 points and 9 rebounds,
Liam Henaghen added 12 points,
Jake Reardon finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds—and
Quintin Eason was a force on defense throughout.
