St. Paul's School boys varsity hockey team defeated the Brewster Academy "Bobcats," a Lakes Region opponent, seven to one in their first game of the 2025 - 2026 season. The Big Red scored three goals in the first period and two goals in the second and third periods, while only surrendering one goal to the home team in the middle frame. Sixth Former Anderson Kilbourne '26 led all players with three assists as seven different skaters for the "Big Red" scored their first goals of the new season. Harry Dermody'26, Fin Kilbourne '27, and Jack Bentley '28 scored for the "Big Red" in the first eighteen minutes of play. In the second period, Jaden Ficek '26 and Mitchell Smith '27 potted their first goals, while Quinn Brandell '26 and Ryan Vohra '27 chipped in with goals in the third period to conclude the scoring. Matteo Vessella '27 was the winning goalie, stopping twenty-three of twenty-four shots. The boys varsity hockey team is back in action on Saturday, December 6^thCenter on Gordon Rink against the Tilton School "Rams."
