The St. Paul's School varsity boys hockey team finished the 2025 - 2026 winter season in Lakes Region Hockey Conference play with nine wins and five losses, finishing fourth in the regular-season standings. As a result, they traveled north to Meriden to take on the Kimball Union Academy "Wildcats," the number one seed in the Lakes Region Hockey Conference playoff tournament. 

Despite competing for the full fifty-four minutes of play and having a lapse in their defensive structure for one minute of play, the "Big Red" were unable to get a puck past the Kimball Union Academy goaltender. Sixth Form assistant captain Blake Truchon played well in net, stopping thirty-eight of forty "Wildcat" shots.  

With the loss, the "Big Red" will move on to play the New Hampton School "Huskies" in the third-place game on Saturday, February 28, at 3:30 pm in Jacobson Arena at New Hampton School.
