Jacobson Arena
New Hampton, New Hampshire
The St. Paul's School varsity boys hockey team, the number four seed, headed north to take on the New Hampton School "Huskies" in the third-place game of the Lakes Region Hockey Conference Tournament. After a scoreless first period, Anderson Kilbourne '26 started the scoring for the "Big Red" when he blasted home a rebound shot that ricocheted off the right post into the back of the net off a Ryan Vohra '27 shot that originated from a Fin Kilbourne '27 pass in the neutral zone. In the third period, Mitchell Smith '27 extended the St. Paul's School lead when he collected a dumped puck off the left half-board by the face-off hash marks that came off the stick of Jai Perry-Perriera '29, and fired it on net, catching the New Hampton goalie, who was spectacular all afternoon, off balance. Sixth Form captain, Harry Dermody, secured the "Big Red" lead and the third-place finish for the St. Paul's School skaters when he protected a puck on the right half board and then created a give-and-go play out of the right corner with linemate Anderson Kilbourne '26. After receiving the pass back from Kilbourne, Dermody attacked the net and made a beautiful cross-crease pass to Ryan Vohra on the weak side, and Vohra calmly deposited the puck into the back of the net.
Sixth Form assistant captain, Blake Truchon, stopped all thirty-three New Hampton shots he faced for the shutout, and provided his team with stability in the defensive-zone for all fifty-four minutes of play.
The "Big Red" varsity boys hockey team finished the 2025 - 2026 New England Prep School Ice Hockey Association regular season with a record of eighteen wins, eleven losses, and one tie. The team has earned the number five seed in the "Ken Martin / Tom Earl" Large School Tournament, which is an eight-team single-elimination tournament that starts on Wednesday, March 4. Opponent, location, and time are to be determined.
