St. Paul's traveled to Williston on Wednesday for the first round of the NEPSAC Class A Playoffs. In the quarterfinal matchup, Williston came out hot—building a quick 10-2 lead. SPS stayed resilient, though, and ultimately tied the game at 17-17. After this, Williston caught fire again and never looked back. The Big Red battled for all 32 minutes and didn't go down without a fight, but Williston was not to be beaten on this day. In the loss,
Landon Clark and
Teigan Pelletier each finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Next up for SPS was
Treyvon Miller with 8 points and 5 rebounds.
Justin Huang finished with 7 points, included his 100
th made three-pointer in just 2 years at SPS. The Big Red should be proud of their effort, teamwork, and resilience over the course of a successful season. After a 25+ year playoff drought, St. Paul's has now made the Class A tournament in 2 of the last 3 years.
