The Big Red suffered their first loss of the season to the Hoggers of Northfield Mount Hermon by a score of 2-0. Both of the Hoggers' goals came in the first half, and in the second, St. Paul's controlled the pace of play and generated multiple scoring opportunities but fell just short of putting the ball in the back of the net.
Luca Walter was dangerous all game for the Big Red along the flank and used his blazing speed to get behind the back line and wreak havoc. Alex Gallien was a force in the backfield disrupting attacks and preventing them from materializing into scoring opportunities.
Paul Huby did well as a formidable target up top and provided sustained pressure to the back line of NMH. Aiden Cho helped control possession of the ball in the middle third,
Francesc Rubiralta used his guile to slip through defensive layers to create scoring opportunities, and
Colin Campbell was a stalwart in the backfield turning scoring opportunities from the Hoggers into quick counter attacks. Up next for the Big Red is another road game in the Lakes Region, this time against Kimball Union Academy.
