St. Paul's School boys cross country capped off a great week of competition by defeating Austin Preparatory School, Dexter Southfield School, Northfield Mount Hermon, and host school Phillips Academy Andover on Saturday, October 17. Two especially strong Andover runners were at the front of the race for most of the variegated course's length, but the St. Paul's front pack stuck with those leaders and finished low to secure the varsity victory.
Langston Williams '27 finished in second place and less than a second behind first; captain
Owen Gorenc '27,
Linus Krenkel '27, and Charlie Harvey '29 were respectively fourth, fifth, and sixth.
Silas Collins '28 ran a nice personal best to be the fifth St. Paul's scorer and twelfth overall finisher. Also running personal bests were Charlie Davis '30, Finn Doyle '30, Quattro Glover '29,
Sosuke Imaizumi '29,
Grant Lebar '27,
Owen Leichtling '30,
Noah Lu '28,
Nathaniel Mendoza '29, Theo Popper '29,
Michael Yung-Coak '30, and
Ryan Zheng '30. With the victory, the team won its third invitational race in four days.
The St. Paul's School harriers look forward to welcoming their families and Holderness School to the grounds for a home meet, the first of the season, over Family Weekend on Saturday, October 24th.
