February 18, 2026
Fusco Arena
Brookline, Massachusetts
The "Big Red" varsity boys hockey team traveled down to Dexter Southfield for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop and lost by a score of nine to three. The St. Paul's School skaters never really got their skates fully under them in the first eighteen minutes of play. They gave up six goals in the first period, two in the second, and one in the third period of play.
St. Paul's School scored one goal in the first period on a power play when Callum Green '27 took a cross-ice feed from Colin O'Leary '27 and beat the Dexter goalie low on the short side inside the left post. Carter Doherty '26 and Callum Green scored the "Big Red's" second and third goals of the game in the second period. Luke Michaud '28 and Mitchell Smith '27 assisted on Dohery's goal. Sixth Form captain Harry Dermody and Chay Simons '27 assisted on Green's second goal.
Assistant captain, goaltender, Blake Truchon '26, played the first eighteen minutes, and Matteo Vessella '27 played the last thirty-six minutes of the game. The goaltending tandem stopped twenty-five of thirty-four Dexter-Southfield shots on net.
The "Big Red" will resume Lakes Region Hockey play Friday at 7:00 p.m. when they travel north to Tilton School to take on the "Rams" in their end-of-the-season senior game.
