SPS XC hosts Exeter on Family Weekend

On October 19th over Family Weekend, St. Paul's School (SPS) boys cross country hosted Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA) for a dual meet. In the second consecutive week with two races in three-day spans, SPS aimed to build race experience on their home course and fitness ahead of end-of-season meets.

Varsity scoring in the combined race evinced the pack-running goals from both teams: PEA's strong front three took the top three spots, and SPS claimed the next four ahead of another PEA group of three. Junior varsity runners, who did not race earlier in the week, had strong performances competing on their home course for the first time this season – and for some their first time at all. Luca Bocresion '25 led SPS JV scoring, and he was joined by Jonah Farkas '27, Rhys Henrikson '26, Aaron Kimiri '27, Grant Lebar '27, Wrenn Ragsdale '26, and Jason Zhuang '27 in setting personal bests. First-time racers Maksym Sendziuk '27 and Brian Zhang '28 showed composure in their first meet and competed well from line to line.
