SPS clocked a hard fought win over the other Big Red, Phillips Exeter Academy, at home on Saturday. SPS scored two goals in regulation, the first when Gracen Arndt '27 popped in the first goal off a perfectly timed cross from Erin Flaherty '27 in the first quarter. Caroline Humber '25 tallied another on a scramble on the goal line. However, by the end of 60 minutes of play, Exeter had the score tied. Luckily, the Pelicans came alive in 7v7 sudden victory OT, and Chelsea Bell '26 delivered when she converted a pass at the top of the circle on a short corner penalty into a driven ball hitting the backboard. Excellent vision, endurance, and heart from the St. Paul's Varsity Field Hockey team! The team will host Brewster Academy on Wednesday. The Senior Game will take place this Saturday on the Bogle-Lechner Turf against Pingree School before SPS finishes the season next week with two away games.
