Box Score The boys varsity recorded their first win of the season with a strong performance against the Brewster Bobcats on their home turf on a cold and rainy April afternoon. The victory was a full team effort as multiple players contributed to the win.

The Big Red was in control from the opening face off as Brian Folsom went 10 for 13 and Gus Belsher was 6 for 8 at the face off X. St. Paul's got out to an early lead going up 1-0 on a blast for Quinton Delorey. Brewster responded with 2 of their own to make it 2-1, their only lead of the game.

The Big Red fought back as Conley Bohan added 2 goals and Fin Kilbourne added one of his own to go into the first break, up by a score of 4-1. At the start of the second, the Bobcats scored their third goal before SPS got on a roll and scored five unanswered goals to go up 9-3. Brewster would add one near the end of the half to make it 9-4 at halftime.

SPS continued to play solid lacrosse in the second half.  Brewster was able to add 2 goals in the third frame as SPS added one of their own from Conley Bohan ending the third quarter with SPS up 10-6. That was as close as Brewster was able to get as the Big Red poured on an impressive fourth quarter adding 4 more goals to Brewster's one to earn the win 14-7.

Numerous players factored in the scoring for SPS: Conley Bohan, Charlie Hepp, Tommy Humphries, Quinton Delorey, and Fin Kilbourne. The Big Red defense held strong playing inspired defense holding Brewster to 7 goals with AJ True recording 10 saves on the day. The team looks ahead to a pair of home match ups with Tilton Friday and Pomfret Saturday.
