Big Red Handles Brewster Behind Balanced Scoring and Faceoff Domination
Concord, NH — A deep and efficient offensive performance lifted St. Paul's over Brewster Academy, 16–9 in a game where the Big Red never trailed and never let up.
St. Paul's got scoring contributions from six different players, with Matias Williams (#24) leading the way with 4 goals and 7 shots on goal. He was one of several sharp shooters for SPS, joined by Michael Seward Jr. (#5) and Quinton Delorey (#19) who each notched hat tricks—Seward converting all 3 of his shots and Delorey going 3-for-6.
Carter Doherty (#9) added another strong outing to his season, dishing out 4 assists and scoring once himself, while Tommy Humphreys (#31) recorded 2 assists to help guide the offense.
Where the game tilted heavily in SPS's favor was at the faceoff X. Bryan Folsom (#4) dominated, winning 22 of 28 faceoffs (78.6%), giving St. Paul's a major possession edge. He also led the team in ground balls with 11 and chipped in an assist.
On the defensive end, Luka Clark (#11) and Ezra Williams (#1) split goalie duties. Clark made 3 saves on 6 shots, while Williams turned away 2 of 8. The Big Red defense held firm, supported by efforts from AJ Zoltowski (#12) with 6 ground balls and 2 forced turnovers, and Jay Falk (#6) and Carson Daniell (#17) each contributing to caused turnovers as well.
As a team, SPS put 36 shots on goal, controlled tempo through possession, and executed on both ends. Every quarter saw balanced scoring (3-5-3-3), and their discipline showed in their transition play and extra possessions.
