Date: April 16, 2025
Location: Concord, NH
St. Paul's School delivered a commanding performance on home turf, overpowering Dexter Southfield 12–3 in boys' varsity lacrosse. From the opening whistle, Big Red controlled the pace, balanced their attack, and locked down defensively to earn another decisive victory.
The Big Red came out sharp, jumping to a 3–0 first-quarter lead and never looking back. Their offensive rhythm was evident early—crisp passing, patient shot selection, and a flurry of quality looks that saw 10 of their first 15 shots hit the target. Dexter Southfield managed just one goal in the entire first half, stifled by St. Paul's airtight defensive unit and strong goalkeeping.
Leading the attack was Matias Williams (#24), who scored 4 goals and consistently pressured the Dexter defense. Finian Kilbourne (#18) was equally impressive with 3 goals and an assist, while Carter Doherty (#9) added 2 goals and an assist as part of a well-rounded offensive effort. Tommy Humphreys (#31) and Quinton Delorey (#19) each contributed goals of their own, with Humphreys also tallying an assist, and Luka Clark (#11) added one to round out the scoring.
The Big Red dominated possession, winning 9 of 15 faceoffs and maintaining control for more than half the game. Their defensive backbone—anchored by Angus Clark (#16) and Bryan Folsom (#4)—limited Dexter to 18 total shots. Both goaltenders combined for 15 saves, frustrating every Dexter attempt to build momentum.
Even with a strong 15-save showing from Dexter's netminder, the visitors couldn't keep up with St. Paul's balanced and unrelenting pace. Big Red's shot total climbed to 26 on goal, and every quarter brought fresh offensive contributions—culminating in a 4-goal surge in the third that effectively sealed the game.
The 12–3 win underscores St. Paul's growing consistency and depth across all positions. With crisp ball movement, defensive poise, and multiple scoring threats, Big Red continues to assert itself as one of the region's most complete teams.
Next Up: St. Paul's will look to keep its momentum rolling when it hosts Pingree on Saturday, April 19.
