Box Score St. Paul's trailed by as many as four, but came back to top Pingree School on Monday, 7-6.
Pingree opened the scoring in the second after Hudson Weidman grounded out, scoring one run.
Pingree added one run in the third after Jimmy Keck singled.
St. Paul's flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on seven hits to take a 7-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Eoin Sheehy that drove in two.
Sam Ekstrand earned the win for St. Paul's. The reliever surrendered five hits and three runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Jaylon Richardson took the loss for Pingree. The starting pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking one. Daniel Sullivan stepped on the hill first for St. Paul's. They gave up two hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Harry Dermody collected the save.
Sheehy provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led St. Paul's with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. St. Paul's's Carter Corbett made the most of their chances at the plate. The number nine hitter led the team with two hits in three at bats.
Pingree School amassed 10 hits in the game. Daniel Ferris and Tejas Prakash each collected two hits for Pingree. Calvin Zimmerman, Richardson, and Nick Hubbard each drove in one run for Pingree. Pingree turned one double play in the game.
St. Paul's will travel to Tilton School for their next game on Wednesday.
