The St. Paul's School wrestling team put forth a dominant effort against the Lawrenceville School, resulting in a 54-30 victory at the 8 School Tournament.
Starting at the 132-pound weight class, Youti Wan of Lawrenceville defeated
Ian Chang. However, St. Paul's quickly regained momentum. Charlie Lussier (138 lbs) pinned Christopher Yang, followed by Finn Merell (150 lbs) who secured a fall over Charles Axelbaum.
Tristan Ho (165 lbs),
Kallen Fitzpatrick (175 lbs), Alex High (190 lbs), and Mike Seward (215 lbs) all added to St. Paul's score with consecutive pins, solidifying the team's commanding lead.
Lawrenceville earned victories at 144 pounds (Ignacio Hernandez over Chris Chabla), 157 pounds (Jalen Gravesande over John Lee), and 285 pounds (Justin Hogue over
Braden Gilligan).
