SPS GXC travelled to Williston Northampton for the Shaler Invitational on Saturday. It was a great test of preparedness for the NEPSAC Championship in two weeks. The varsity girls raced first on the cool, cloudy day. From start to finish, Aedyn led the race. C.C. Goss continued her streak as second runner for SPS and was followed by
Clara Tcherepnin, Mack Barrette and
Allison Min. Poppy Hamilton rounded out the varsity runners. The girls came in second to Loomis by a mere two points. On the JV side, the girls came away with a convincing victory. Rita Krenkel led for most of the race. She was only passed by her two teammates, Patalie Viprasakit and MJ Williams-Bello in the last half mile. Lu Rodriguez was just behind the top three. Katie Ragsdale and Sophia Zhang were next to the finish line for the JV girls, followed closely by
Cameron Quinlan and Jenny Li.
