St. Paul's put together a strong three-game stretch this week, earning wins over Austin Prep, Governor's Academy, and Proctor Academy through a combination of timely hitting, consistent pitching, and lineup depth.
On Wednesday, St. Paul's edged Austin Prep 3–2 in a close, low-scoring game.
Lucy Kaiser drove in the first run in the fifth inning, and after Austin Prep tied the game in the seventh,
Jillian Fugere delivered a walk-off double to secure the win. Kaiser and
Jelina Medina combined for a solid performance in the circle, allowing just one earned run while striking out seven. Several players contributed at the plate, with Dot Ricard,
Violet Eaton, and
Jade Hill each recording two hits.
The offense broke out on Friday in a 14–1 win over Governor's Academy. The team hit multiple home runs in the third inning, including shots from
Jade Hill, Kaiser, and Fugere. Medina led the way with six RBIs, highlighted by a grand slam in the fifth inning. St. Paul's finished with 13 hits and showed patience at the plate with seven walks. Kaiser earned the win, allowing one run over five innings.
On Saturday, St. Paul's continued its offensive momentum in a 17–1 win over Proctor Academy. The team scored early and added nine runs in the second inning, with key contributions including a grand slam from Fugere and a three-run home run from Medina.
Adriana Torres and
Dakota Martinez also homered. St. Paul's totaled 16 hits, drew six walks, and did not commit an error on defense. Medina earned the win in the circle.
Across the three games, St. Paul's showed the ability to win close contests and to generate consistent offense, with contributions from multiple players throughout the lineup. The Big Red has another jam-packed week, facing off against New Hampton School, Andover and Choate.
