Boys Varsity Tennis earn win at Austin Prep

SPS Boys Varsity Tennis traveled with 9 players to Austin Prep and all were able to contribute to the final tally in a positive way. In doubles we tried some new pairings and all worked out well for us. Enoch Huang and Pierce Trevisani at three used solid crosscourt approach shots, complemented by well placed volleys to win 8-2. Peter Ding used some quality slice backhands to set up Kyan Hands in their win. Hunter Morton and JB Estes deployed their high level doubles play to win efficiently at one. With Enoch and JB sitting out for singles, Hunter, Peter, and Kyan stepped up and won all of their games at the top of our lineup. Jason Lee kept his ground strokes steady to win at four. Alex Gallien did everything well, especially with his serve placement to win at five. David Kwon made his Varsity debut with what turned out to be our most entertaining match. Down 4-1, then 4-5 match point, David hung tough and won the second set 7-5 against a tenacious opponent. Next up is a home match against New Hampton on Monday, April 15. Go St. Paul's!
