A breezy home match set the stage for us to win decisively against 2023 Lakes Region leaders, New Hampton. This year we started with strong doubles play as all adjusted to their opponents and conditions. Hunter Morton carried an injured JB Estes through their number one doubles match. Peter Ding and Kyan Hands teamed up at two again and are improving their performance at net. Pierce Trevisani and Enoch Huang overpowered their opponents at three but still needed to stay focused throughout. In singles, Hunter continued to step up for the team and won an astounding 12 straight games. Enoch balanced consistency with power in his straight set win. Peter, Kyan, and Alex Gallien all seemed comfortable in their matches as they were challenged to finish points. Jason was in the biggest battle at #5, pulling off a big tiebreaker win in the first set and entertaining both teams with another close set in the second. Chasing down drop shots, making offensive forehands, and managing the score were all challenges Jason was able  to overcome to finish out our teams' sweep. Next up we travel to Andover on Wednesday, April 17.Â
