It's been a soggy spring, but the sprinkles (mostly) held off on Saturday, April 13, when the Varsity Girls Tennis team took on Groton at home, missing three of its veteran Sixth Formers but outdoors at last.
In singles play,
Liz Harder '25 at number one went 1-6, 1-6; co-captain
Helen Berger '24 at number two went 1-6, 0-6;
Poppy Duggal '25 at number three was shut out; Char Machiels '25 at number four learned from her first set to finish 0-6, 4-6 and
Amelia Guest '25 at number five went 3-6, 1-6. In the number six spot,
Logan Bensadoun '25 played her first varsity match of the season and fought hard to finish 4-6, 2-6.

In doubles play, Harder and Duggal teamed up again in the number one spot while new pairs formed for numbers two (Berger and Machiels) and three (Guest and Tattie Gibbs '24); all three duos posted scores of 3-8.
