The SPS girls varsity tennis team lost a bet with Mother Nature and had to dash inside to the Stovell Tennis Courts to host Worcester Academy on Wednesday, May 7, but they won the match, 9-0. 
Liz Harder '25 at #1 finished 8-2, Poppy Duggal '25 at #2 went 8-5 and Char Machiels '25 at #3 finished 8-4. Amelia Guest '25 at #4 and Clara Tcherepnin at #6 both turned in scores of 8-1 while Emery Gay '26 at #5 blanked her opponent, 8-0. 

In doubles play, Harder and Duggal cruised to an 8-2 victory, Char Machiels and Guest put a stop to the see-saw contest to finish 8-5 at #2, and Didi Machiels '28 and Amelia Chun '28 took their winning streak to six in a row with an 8-4 finish on the third line.
