St. Paul's School played its first Lakes Region League match of the season against New Hampton under blue skies on Monday, April 22, and swept with a 9-0 victory.

Liz Harder '25 at number one singles notched a 6-1, 6-1 win; co-captain
Helen Berger '24 at number two adjusted her game after the first set to finish 6-4, 6-0; and
Poppy Duggal '25 at number three held strong at 6-0, 6-2.

Char Machiels '25 at number four singles cleared the decks with a 6-0, 6-0 win;
Skylar Christoffersen '24 took care of business and didn't let a broken string slow her down on the way to a 6-1, 6-0 win; and co-captain
Sophia Burdge '24 handed in a 6-1, 6-3 win at number six.

In doubles play, Harder and Duggal in the number one position and Machiels and
Lidia Zur Muhlen '24 at number two turned in 8-1 wins. Fifth Formers
Logan Bensadoun and
Amelia Guest at number three paired up for an 8-2 win.

Every healthy member of the team was able to play a match – in exhibition play, Emery Gay '26 prevailed over her singles opponent 8-1.
