Under sunny skies at last, St. Paul's School hosted Proctor for a 5 p.m. match on Monday, April 14. The Big Red's girls varsity tennis team won their first Lakes Region League match of the year 7-2.

Co-captain Liz Harder '25 at #1 singles warmed up to finish 6-3, 6-0. Co-captain and formmate Poppy Duggal at #2 and Clara Tcherepnin '26 at #6 both wrapped things up 6-0, 6-1. Char Machiels '25 played smart tennis to walk off the court with an efficient 6-0, 6-0 win. Amelia Guest '25 at #4 finished 6-1, 6-3 while Emery Gay '26 at #5 adjusted after her first set to turn in a score of 6-4, 6-0.

Doubles play saw the varsity debuts of three Third Formers: Amelia Chun and Didi Machiels at #3 and Lily Chibnik paired with Logan Bensadoun '25 at #2. Both duos finished 6-8. In the top spot, Fourth Formers Daisy Singer and Ariadna Rubiralta Kunze teamed up to romp to an 8-3 win over Proctor's pair composed of their #2 and #3 singles players.
