The SPS Track and Field team hosted Andover and Concord Academy for a great day for track and field. This Wednesday was headlined by 70 degree weather and sunshine that boosted the moods and performances of all competitors at this midweek track meet. In the face of fierce competition, the Big Red athletes were able to win multiple events on both sides, including:

Girls: 800m, 1500m, 300m hurdles, high jump, long jump

Boys: 100m, 800m, 1500m, 4x400m relay

Notable performances include Charlie Harvey kicking his way to victory the 1500m and 800m before laying down the anchor leg for the winning 4x400m team, Abbey Hafer securing the wins in the 300m hurdles and high jump before coming back to anchor a strong 4x400m performance, MJ Nials leading a SPS 1-4 sweep in the boys' 100m with a PB time of 11.21, Aedyn Kourakos showcasing strength in her 1500m and 800m wins, and Bea Brown notching the win in the long jump by a foot.

Although the season is just beginning, many SPS runners, jumpers, and throwers have already smashed their personal bests from seasons past. Congratulations to all SPS athletes who have elevated their level and continue to show improvement day-by-day! The Big Red track and field athletes return to action this Saturday against the other Big Red at Philips Exeter Academy.
