Boys Varsity Tennis earns Lakes Region win at KUA

We headed to the Upper Valley Region to take on Kimball Union Academy on a sunny, windy day. In doubles Hunter and Kyan were moving to the net well and won against KUA's top pair. James and Max played solid with some high percentage combinations of shots. Bo and Alex were able to keep on track with some well placed serves from Alex and Bo holding steady at the net. In singles, Hunter had his work cut out for him against Marco Chen but found the serves and groundstrokes he felt confident with and got it done. Alex didn't drop a game against a crafty number two. Max played a heavy hitting opponent, but stayed focused and resilient on his way to a not so easy win. Kyan looked good against a veteran KUA player, hitting his forehands with accuracy. James was steady as always and won comfortably at number 5. Bo gave ussome entertainment to close out the day with a close #6 match. It was a good experience for us all to be a part of, watching the momentum of the match shift constantly. Ultimately Bo settled into his game of solid groundstrokes and overheads to win in a 3rd set tiebreaker, facing the challenge head on. Next up we have a rematch with Exeter on Wednesday, April 22 at St. Paul's School. Go SPS!
